Much of the miombo woodlands, a dry tropical forest type covering most of Southern Africa, are undervalued and mismanaged. Instigating community forest ownership and introducing alternative forest-friendly livelihoods are at the heart of WeForest’s operations.
Since 2016, 4Forests’ team members have played a pivotal role in the development of the WeForest project portfolio in Zambia. The in-country team and number of projects has quadrupled since 4Forests involvement through offering organizational leadership, technical support and quality project delivery.
