Theory of change
Our mission is to provide support to project partners which aim to protect and restore forest landscapes across Africa.
Our goal is to contribute to effective, holistic and measurable ecosystem conservation and restoration projects.
4Forests aims to achieve this through our 4 pillars:
- Conservation: safeguarding ecosystem integrity through disseminating best practices, focusing on long-term planning and sustainable development.
- Restoration: reinstating forest landscapes to functional ecosystems that provide services to neighboring communities with global benefits.
- Biodiversity: mainstreaming biodiversity objectives in project development, implementation and monitoring.
- Community: integrating communities’ best interests in their forest landscapes through strengthening of capacity, governance and ownership.
